Entry
I went to bed at 9PM last night, slept restlessly, and woke up in Italy, 1938. But it was a landslide victory for America’s favorite fascist and thus, I’m relieved. Americans have spoken and declared their new national identity unequivocally. My countrymen are unrecognizable to me now. I am an exile in waiting. Looking now with agonized eyes for a new shore. A new set of neighbors. I don’t want to wear the American label anymore. Perhaps I can fake it as a Bulgarian tourist. Today my road becomes clear ahead.
