Question (En)
What is the longest river in Peru and what places does it cross?
Answer (En)
The longest river in Peru is the Ucayali River, with a length of approximately 1,771 kilometers. The Ucayali is formed by the confluence of the Apur&&i&&mac and Urubamba rivers in the Ucayali region, in the Peruvian jungle. From there, it flows northeast, crossing several regions such as Hu&&a&&nuco, Pasco, Jun&&i&&n and Loreto, until joining the Mara&&n&&&&o&&n River to form the Amazon River. The Ucayali River is an important waterway in the Amazon region of Peru, and its basin is home to a great diversity of flora and fauna. In addition, it is vital for the indigenous communities that live on its shores, as it provides water, food and transportation. The Ucayali River is also known for its importance in history, as it was explored by expeditionaries such as Francisco de Orellana in his search for the mythical city of El Dorado.
