The archaeological site in northern Peru famous for its pyramid complex is the city of T&&u&&cume, also known as Valley of the Pyramids. It is located in the La Leche valley, near the city of Chiclayo. T&&u&&cume was the capital of the Lambayeque kingdom and reached its peak between the 11th and 15th centuries, before the arrival of the Incas. The site is made up of more than 26 adobe pyramids, some of which reach up to 40 meters in height, making it one of the largest archaeological complexes in the world. The T&&u&&cume pyramids are known for their impressive architecture and for the archaeological finds that have revealed important aspects of the Lambayeque culture. The site is a popular tourist destination and a fascinating display of Peru's rich pre-Columbian history.
