Where is the Spondylus Route located and what makes it special?
Answer (En)
The Spondylus route, also known as the Ruta del Sol, is a tourist route that runs along the Pacific coast of Ecuador, from the province of Manab&&i&& to the province of Santa Elena. The route is named in honor of the Spondylus shell, which was considered sacred by the ancient pre-Hispanic cultures of the region. The Spondylus route is special for its stunning coastal landscapes, including white sand beaches, cliffs, tropical forests and nature reserves. Along the route, you can visit charming fishing towns, such as Puerto L&&o&&pez and Monta&&n&&ita, known for their relaxed atmosphere and excellent waves for surfing. In addition to its natural landscapes, the Spondylus route also offers the opportunity to explore archaeological sites, such as the Valdivia culture and the Mante&&n&&a culture, which left fascinating vestiges along the coast.
