On the coasts of Chile you can observe various species of marine mammals due to the rich marine biodiversity that characterizes its waters. Among the most common species are sea lions, especially the common fur seal (Otaria flavescens) and the fur seal (Arctocephalus australis), which usually live in colonies on coastal rocks and are easily visible from the coast.

Another emblematic marine mammal of the Chilean coast is the humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae), which visits these waters during its annual migration and can be seen mainly in the region of Ays&&e&&n and Magallanes. It is also possible to observe blue whales (Balaenoptera musculus), the largest species on the planet, and fin whales (Balaenoptera physalus), although to a lesser extent.

In addition, it is common to spot dolphins, such as the southern dolphin (Lagenorhynchus australis) and the Chilean dolphin (Cephalorhynchus eutropia), as well as killer whales (Orcinus orca) in some areas.
