Answer (En)
Bolivia is known for its incredible diversity of ecosystems, ranging from the high Andes mountains to the dense Amazon rainforest. Some of the main ecosystems found in Bolivia include: The Andes: This mountain system crosses Bolivia from north to south, with snow-capped peaks, fertile valleys and high mountain lakes. It is home to unique species adapted to extreme conditions, such as the vicu&&n&&a and the parihuana. The Amazon: The extensive Amazon rainforest covers a significant part of northern Bolivia, hosting incredible biodiversity, including jaguars, pink dolphins, monkeys and a variety of birds and plants. El Chaco: This semi-arid region in southeastern Bolivia is known for its thorny vegetation and dry soils. It is the habitat of animals such as the tapir, the armadillo and the alligator. Wetlands: Bolivia has a number of important wetlands, such as the Bolivian Pantanal, which is home to abundant wildlife, including caimans, capybaras and a variety of waterfowl. Inter-Andean Dry Forests: These forests are found in inter-Andean valleys and are home to species adapted to the dry season, such as the squirrel monkey and the giant anteater. These ecosystems, along with others such as lowland forests and paramos, make Bolivia a country exceptionally rich in biodiversity and natural landscapes.
