Question (En)
What is the wildlife like in the cloud forests of Guatemala?
Answer (En)
Guatemala's cloud forests are home to incredibly diverse and unique wildlife. Among the most emblematic mammals are the quetzal, the spider monkey, the ocelot and the jaguar, the latter being one of the largest and most powerful cats in America. As for birds, cloud forests are home to a wide variety of species, including hummingbirds, tanagers and trogons. They are also home to a great diversity of amphibians and reptiles, such as the harlequin frog and the two-headed boa snake. Additionally, cloud forests are important for the conservation of endangered species, such as the quetzal, whose population has been threatened by habitat loss. In short, Guatemala's cloud forests are a treasure trove of biodiversity worth exploring and protecting.
