Question (En)
What is the current situation of environmental conservation in the Dominican Republic?
Answer (En)
The current situation of environmental conservation in the Dominican Republic is challenging. Despite having strong environmental laws and policies, deforestation, soil erosion, water pollution and inadequate waste management remain critical problems. Although protected areas have been established, illegal deforestation and unplanned urbanization continue to threaten biodiversity. There are efforts by local and international organizations to address these issues, but greater public awareness and effective actions are needed to protect natural resources and address the challenges of climate change.
